She laid in her bedroll drifting in and out of sleep, thoughts on the battle that took place a few days before. she kept staring at the armor that one of the bandits left behind, she had not been able to put it to use. The thought that someone died in it made it difficult to think about, the fact that she almost lost one of their own group made was worse. Her mind went back to the assault in the Imperial Arms in when she hesitated to defend herself against the goblins attacking her. Her mind was set on getting rid of that hesitation otherwise she’d be a hindrance to those around her. A yawn escaped her.. the thought of getting to another city might mean a real bed.. maybe a bath.. and heavens did she want that more then anything else. She thought about the earlier this week her mind traveled back to the bandits, she couldn’t help but wonder why her brother and the monk set themselves on fire towards the end of it. Now that they were healed she giggled quietly, her brother for some reason always had a skill of getting into things.. or trouble.. or anything of the sort, it was probably the real reason the Caretakers at the Orphanage only really searched for him halfheartedly. Another yawn as she stirred closer to being awake.. it was getting close to morning and she wanted to get something started for breakfast. She would think about all this later, it was close for her morning prayer and she still needed to get dressed. Lazily she looked to her pack when she heard another person at her tent.. a voice called out to her as they pushed the flap to the side
“Good Morning, Sunshine. How about some breakfast”? She quickly crawled back into her bed roll leaving her clothes behind in her backpack at the opening of the tent. Of all people to come to get her in the morning, she looked at herself.. she was to tired to change that night before and her traveling clothes reeked from a full day of travel. She had just stripped down that night without thinking and slept almost in the nude after finishing the first watch.
“Of all the bloody nights…” this day was already starting out bad
